Art attack
A thief stole the laptop right off the lap of its user as she was typing on it in the grass in front of the Brooklyn Museum on Eastern Parkway on July 29.
The victim told cops that she was working away at just after midnight when the thief ran up and grabbed the HP computer before fleeing.
She described the laptop-loving louse as 15-years-old, standing only 5-foot-5.
Illegal entry
Two laptop computers and a camera were among the pricey items looted from a Prospect Place apartment on July 30.
Thieves entered the home, between Vanderbilt and Underhill avenues, sometime after 8:15 am through a window connected to the building’s fire escape, but the break-in wasn’t discovered until 10 pm that night, police said.
All charged up
An over-charged criminal made off with a laptop computer left juicing up inside a car on July 28.
The 39-year-old pharmaceutical salesman told police he left the computer sitting on the driver’s seat to his 2008 Saturn Vue to charge at 5:30 am.
He returned to his SUV — which was left on Dean Street between Carlton and Vanderbilt avenues — a short time later, but someone had already smashed the window.
Bike swipe
Thieves gershed a $500 Raleigh bicycle from inside a Vanderbilt Avenue apartment building on July 30.
A 26-year-old woman left the bike in the hallway of the address, located between Prospect and Park places, at 3:30 pm.
When she returned at 11 am the next morning, it was gone.
More missing wheels
A bike — along with a cherished coin collection — was removed from a Vanderbilt Avenue apartment building, an upset resident told police on July 25.
The 49-year-old victim said his property had disappeared from a common basement in the building between St. Marks Avenue and Bergen Street sometime before 4 pm.
Handbag swipe
A sticky-fingered thief made off with a woman’s handbag as she partied at the Sova Club on July 25.
The 27-year-old club-hopper told police that her pocketbook was lying by her feet inside the Vanderbilt Avenue watering hole between St. Marks Avenue and Prospect Place at 10 pm when the thief made off with it, taking a cellphone and a pair of $600 glasses.
