Police are searching for a man who hit a grocery store employee in the head with a three-liter bottle of soda in Coney Island on Nov. 27.

The man walked into a store on Mermaid Avenue between W. 23rd and W. 24th streets at 12:40 pm, picked things off the shelves, and started flinging them around the shop, police said. When a clerk tried to stop the man, the provision-pitcher winged a three-liter bottle of soda at the employee’s head, a police report states.

The victim refused medical attention, police said.
