At least these thieves were polite

OwPhone grab

Two well-mannered thieves swiped an iPhone from a woman on Underhill Avenue on April 7.

The victim said that she was nearing Eastern Parkway at noon when the two teens approached her.

“Excuse me, ma’am,” one of the teens said politely as he approached and lightly touched the woman’s shoulder.

But before any other pleasantries were exchanged, the duo snatched the pricey phone from the woman’s grasp and ran off with it.

Cops apprehended one of the thieves a short time later. The 17-year-old suspect still had the phone on him.

Helter shelter

A Department of Homeless Services guard was injured on April 8 after he was attacked at the Atlantic Avenue Armory Shelter.

The guard said that he was monitoring the entrance of the armory near Bedford Avenue at 10:50 pm when an intoxicated 45-year-old began swearing at him.

The man then took a swing at the guard, fracturing his thumb during the ensuing fisticuffs, officials said.

Cops took the would-be drunkard into custody, charging him with assault.
