Designer duds

A 25-year-old woman was arrested for beating and robbing another woman on E. 55th Street on July 12, taking more than $1,000 in electronics and designer accessories.

The victim told police that she was near Avenue H at 9:30 pm when the suspect and an accomplice ambushed her. They punched the victim in the face, then took her Chanel pocketbook, Juicy Couture wallet, and iPhone 4S, cops said.

Bad day

Police arrested a 36-year-old man who they say tried to shoplift from an Avenue U Macy’s — and then punched a security guard in the face — on Aug. 8.

A security guard said he was working at the retailer between E. 71st and E. 72nd streets at 5:10 pm when he noticed the suspect leaving with a bag. When he asked to check the bag’s contents, however, the suspect allegedly socked him in the face and took off running.

As the suspect was making his escape, he dropped his bag, which employees recovered and found unpaid-for clothing inside, police said.

Gunpoint goons

Two men, ages 18 and 21, were arrested for robbing a man at gunpoint on Beverly Road Aug. 9, taking his cellphone and necklace.

The victim told police that he was near E. 31st Street at 3:09 am when the suspects approached him and one drew a pistol.

“You know what this is, give me everything you got,” the suspect allegedly snarled, before taking the victim’s valuables.

Police arrested a 47-year-old man who they say tried to steal watches from an Avenue U retailer on Aug. 11.

An employee told police that he was working in the store between Veterans Avenue and E. 71st Street at 10:55 pm when he saw the suspect grab a number of watches and attempt to leave without paying. Employees stopped the suspect and found the stolen merchandise on him, according to police.
