Autopsy: Death of baby found in Williamsburg condo was a homicide

Police are investigating the death of a baby boy found unconscious in a waterfront Williamsburg condominium last year as a homicide, according to a report.

The babysitter of 2-month-old Hudson Dipede called emergency services to a building on N. Sixth Street between the East River and Kent Avenue at 9:30 pm on Oct. 17, 2014, where paramedics found the baby unconscious and unresponsive with severe head trauma and bleeding from the nose, police said. They took the infant to Woodhull Medical Center, where a doctor pronounced him dead, according to a report.

The babysitter was the only one home with the boy at the time, said a police spokeswoman.

Dipede and his twin brother were born prematurely on Aug. 3 and he suffered from numerous health problems, she said.

The medical examiner declared the death a homicide on Monday morning, according to a report. Cops have not yet made any arrests in the case.
