Councilman Steve Levin and his wife Ann are expecting their first baby, which is due sometime in February, according to his spokesman.

Levin (D–Boerum Hill) hasn’t decided how much time he will take off to bask in the baby bliss yet, the rep claimed — but as a city employee, he is entitled to six weeks paid parental leave.

Councilman Brad Lander (D–Cobble Hill) let the cat out of the bag when he tweeted a picture of Councilman and dad Donovan Richards (D–Queens) handing over some of his baby gear to Levin.

Speaking of cats, the 35-year-old has already shown a natural instinct for protecting the small and vulnerable, famously saving a bullet-ridden, pregnant kitty from the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in April 2015.

Other dad moves include being a former bass guitarist, enjoying the Grateful Dead, and trading in his battered old Honda Civic for a far more responsible Ford Focus hatchback.

Levin and his wife declined to comment.
