Cops are looking for two note-passing bandits wanted for three area bank robberies.
Police said that a 5’6” white male in his 20s, between 120 and 130 pounds, is being sought for holding up both the Sovereign Bank at 1302 Avenue J on July 3 and the Commerce Bank at 1122 Kings Highway on July 9.
During each incident, the thief passed threatening notes to tellers and walked out of the banks with an undisclosed amount of money.
The second suspect, described as a 5’11,” 175-pound white male in his 30s, is being sought for robbing the Commerce Bank, 1602 Avenue U, on the morning of June 28.
The thief reportedly wrote a note demanding $10,000 on a dollar bill, officials said.
The teller handed the thief nearly $3,000, officials said.
Armed with surveillance photos of both men as they were entering the banks, cops are actively searching for the two thieves.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to come forward.
Tipsters, police said, could receive up to $2,000 if their information leads to the bank robbers’ arrest and indictment.
