Polite heist
A well-mannered bank robber was kind enough to use the word “Please” when demanding cash from a teller at the Capital One bank on Fulton Street on Nov. 8.
An employee at the bank between Red Hook Lane and Smith Street told cops that the perp approached the window at around 10:20 am and passed her a note reading, “Please pass all 100s, 50s, 20s. No bail or funny money.”
He added, verbally, “Pass all the money!” But the exchange did not go any further, as the suspect apparently got spooked, grabbed the note from the counter, and ran off.
Wallet rob
Two goons robbed a man of his wallet on Atlantic Avenue on Nov. 8.
The victim told cops that he was between Third and Fourth avenues at around midnight when the thugs approached and pushed him into the wall. The man then handed over his wallet, containing an assortment of credit cards and $20, before the punks could even demand it. The perps then told him to “walk away,” and he complied.
Regal rip off
A quick-handed thief stole a woman’s purse that she had left on a seat in the Court Street Regal Cinema on Nov. 8.
The victim told cops that she had finished watching a movie in the theater between Schermerhorn and State streets at around 3 pm when she got up from her seat. After only taking a few steps, she realized she had forgotten her bag, but by then it was long gone. The bandit got a cellphone, an assortment of credit cards, and $200.
Car-be-gone
The owner of a 1996 Buick Century discovered that his ride had been stolen on Nov. 8.
The owner of the antediluvian auto told cops he had last seen it on Wyckoff Street between Hoyt and Bond streets two weeks prior at around 1 pm.
