The Astella Development Corporation and New York Arm Wrestling Association will joined forces to present the 26th Annual Kingsboro Arm Wrestling Championships in conjunction with the 18th Annual Sand Sculpting Contest, July 26 at 12 p.m. the Coney Island boardwalk between West 10th and 12th streets in front of Astroland Amusement Park.

More than 100 men and women will compete for Brooklyn’s prestigious Kingsboro Golden Arm Wrestling Championship titles and the overall male and female winners will be crowned Brooklyn’s Strongest Arm.

Spectators and contestants are invited to watch or compete for free and contestants should register and weigh-in between 9 a.m. and before 12:15 p.m. as the event begins at 12:30 p.m. sharp. There are male and female novice, amateur and pro categories in 12 weight classes and the final matches will take place on the boardwalk’s main stage at 3:30 p.m. in front of a live captive audience.

Astella Development Corporation Executive Director Judi Orlando will present Brooklyn’s Strongest Arm (male and female) with an MVP cash award.

The ‘Kingsboro Arm’ Wrestling Awards will be given to first, second and third place winners, and a male and female ‘Strongest Arm in Brooklyn’ MVP will be crowned. There are no residency requirements and first, second and third place award winners qualify to compete at the Empire State ‘Golden Arm’ Tournament of Champions Final to be held at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, November 13.

The New York ‘Golden Arm’ Series consists of six preliminary championships and the Final. Events are held in each of the five NYC boroughs, Long Island, and upstate New York.

August events include the Long Island Championships, August 23 at the Long Island Scottish Games in Old Westbury, NY.
