Sunshine and smiles brightened Fifth Avenue in Bay Ridge on Sunday as the 31st Annual Fun on Fifth Festival brought the neighborhood to life.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., families, friends and neighbors strolled the thoroughfare — from Bay Ridge Avenue to 85th Street — soaking in a day packed with food, live music, shopping and community cheer.
Hosted by the Bay Ridge Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District, the festival featured a vibrant mix of food vendors, arts and crafts booths, local performers and kid-friendly activities. Local shops and organizations set up along the route, offering everything from handmade goods to hometown services.

Elizabeth Lovejoy, the BID’s executive director, said this year’s event built on the momentum of last year’s milestone 30th anniversary celebration.
“The June 1st #FunOn5th Festival was a tremendous success, with an incredible turnout from merchants, vendors and enthusiastic attendees,” she said. “It was a gorgeous day that brought Fifth Avenue to life with family fun, music and community spirit.”
