Bay Ridge has a new frozen yogurt shop, now that Sweetie opened on Third Avenue last Wednesday and promptly served a thick crowd.
“This frozen yogurt is perfect,” said Denise Costa, who lives on 87th Street. “It’s healthy and delicious; it’s a must try.”
This is the second frozen yogurt shop in Bay Ridge, but it is a first for the southern tip.
“We had to open a place like this here,” said manager Gordon Goguo. “You’re surrounded by coffee shops and bakeries, but the neighborhood needed a healthy treat.”
Sweetie offers frozen yogurt in a variety of flavors, all of which can be topped with a choice of 16 toppings like cheesecake, blueberry and sprinkles ($4.25 with three toppings).
Our tasting panel went with a strawberry, mango and kiwi flavor, and relished its balance of sour and sweet — and the fact that it contained a mere 90 calories.
