C-team
Three no-good punks wrestled their victim to the ground and stole his phone on Metropolitan Avenue on June 4 — but cops later sandbagged two.
The punks approached a man from behind on the corner of Roebling Street at 3 am. One thug applied a headlock and shouted, “Give me the money,” while the second punched the victim twice in the stomach and the third stole his cellphone, before all three fled.
Two were later arrested on N. Sixth Street an hour later.
Cash dud
Two thieves broke into a clothing store on Penn Street and stole $300 on June 3.
The burglars broke into the store, which is near Bedford Avenue, after the shop owner locked up at 8 pm. When the owner returned on 1 pm the next day, she discovered the cash was missing.
Honda hoodwinked
A thief stole jewelry and electronics from a car on S. Fifth Street on June 3.
The driver parked his car near Havemeyer Street at 10 am, but when he returned at 4:50 pm, he found the driver’s-side window smashed and his phone, computer and gold bracelet gone.
He also lost a fur-covered hat of a style popular among Hasidic Jews. Such hats can go for $100.
Bike thief
A cyclist crook rode up next to his victim on Bushwick Avenue on June 4 and stole her pocketbook.
The crook followed his victim near Devoe Street at around 5 pm, and applied his brakes as he got near her. That’s when he grabbed the woman’s pocketbook and then sped off down Bushwick, before taking its contents and tossing the now-useless bag onto the street.
Body shots
A violent thug shot a man’s back and left leg multiple times on Boerum Street on June 3.
The shooter approached the victim near Humboldt Street as he was walking to the L train at 11:30 pm, and shot him several times for no apparent reason. The victim was treated for his injuries.
Choke hold
A thug put his victim in a chokehold on Devoe Street on June 5, grabbed her pocketbook, and pushed her to the ground.
The robber approached his victim at 2:55 am near Manhattan Avenue, choked her and pulled her pocketbook off her shoulder before fleeing with her keys and credit cards.
Subway rob
A robber and his two punk friends threatened his victim with a knife and stole his iPod near the J train on Flushing Avenue.
The perps approached his victim on May 31 at 8:15 pm, when one shouted, “Gimme what you got our I’ll cut you.” The perp removed his iPod and fled down Broadway.
In-ten-idate
Ten teenagers tried to steal merchandise from a Graham Avenue store on June 1, but instead, they punched the store manager in the face.
The teens entered the store near Moore Street at 3:30 pm. One tried to steal some property, but the manager confronted him. A fight ensued, and three of the perps punched the manager around his face and fled down Graham Avenue.
Laptop taken
A thief broke into a Leonard Street apartment on June 1, stealing the victim’s laptop.
The perp broke into the building near Stagg Street after 6:30 pm, grabbing the $2,200 computer and fleeing. When the tenant returned by 9:30 pm, he found his computer missing.
