The local office of the Muscular Dystrophy Association is looking for people interested in volunteering at the local 2009 Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon Pledge Center.
Volunteers will be needed during the Telethon September 6−7. MDA will be asking volunteers to help out by answering phones and preparing mailings. This year, the local Pledge Center will be at the Ruth S. Harley University Center at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. This is the first time a Pledge Center will be set up at the University.
Although the Pledge Center will be set up in Garden City, NY, the funds raised are going to benefit individuals and families in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx, and Nassau and Suffolk counties. Therefore, MDA will be looking for volunteers from all of these areas to help out at the Pledge Center.
