Police have arrested and charged a man for allegedly killing a 26-year-old man last month.

The suspect, 33-year-old Marquis Shiloh, was charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon on Aug. 2, according to the NYPD. Shiloh allegedly stabbed the victim, Stephon Sinclair, to death in an incident at Tompkins Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant last month.

According police, officers responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed at 760 Park Ave. on the evening of July 12. When they arrived, they found Sinclair in front of the building with numerous stab wounds to his legs.

Paramedics transported Sinclair to NYC Health+Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.

There have been six murders so far this year in the 79th Precinct, where the stabbing took place and where Shiloh was arrested, per NYPD data, and the murder rate there has remained flat since last year — while crime as a whole is up about 2%.
