Bike snatcher

A burglar broke into a Bay Parkway home and stole a bicycle on May 17.

The perp entered the unlocked vestibule of the home between 70th and 71st streets at approximately 3:30 a.m., and rode off on the ill-gotten bike, cops said.

Bar fight

Cops cuffed two men who they say assaulted another man at a Bay Ridge Avenue bar on May 17.

The three were inside the watering hole between 16th and New Utrecht avenues at approximately 10:30 p.m. when one of the men hit the victim over the head with a chair, and the other punched him repeatedly in the face, according to authorities.

The two men also caused more than $250 in damage to the bar, cops said.

Checkbook baddie

A scammer stole a check from a Lake Street home on May 11.

The fraudster snatched the check from the mailbox of the home between John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Montrose Avenue at approximately 7 p.m., police reported.

The weasel then changed the information on the check and deposited it into an unknown bank account for $2,500, cops said.

Un safe

A thief stole $30,000 from a W. Seventh Street home between May 13 and May 19.

The victim claimed that he had the money, in hundred dollar bills, stashed in the living room of his home, between Bay Parkway and Avenue O, police reported. He had multiple guests in the home over the course of the week, and realized the money was missing on May 19, cops said.

Beer bottle brute

Cops cuffed a man who they say assaulted someone with a beer bottle at a Bay Ridge Avenue bar on May 19.

Two witnesses claim the defendant struck the victim in the neck with a glass bottle while at the tavern between 16th and New Utrecht avenues shortly after midnight, cops said.

Highway robbery

A jerk snatched a bicycle on Kings Highway on May 15.

The victim was riding his two-wheeler between Clarendon and Beverly roads shortly before 11 p.m. when the scoundrel pushed him off, before getting on the bike and riding off, according to cops.

Scoping scoundrels

Two muggers robbed a man on Avenue P on May 16.

The victim told police he was walking home from a bar shortly before midnight when two men, who he recognized from the taproom, approached him near the intersection of W. Sixth Street.

The baddies pushed the victim to the ground and stole his wallet and cellphone, before making off toward Avenue O, cops said.

Jacket jacked

A brigand stole $70 from a woman on 86th Street on May 17.

The baddie approached the woman between Bay Eighth Street and 15th Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. and asked for money, police reported. When the victim refused, the bandit grabbed her jacket and stole the money from her pocket, cops said.
