Bishop Ford High School students are going for the gold these days, as some of Brooklyn’s quickest residents are capturing cross-country titles faster than you can say, “Go!”
Senior Paul Gilhuley won the New York Catholic High School Athletic Association’s Cross-Country City Championship. The Bishop Ford Boys Varsity Cross-Country team, coached by Physical Education teacher Larry Medina, finished third in the city and qualified for the state cross-country championship.
Also, Bishop Ford junior Malekah Holland captured the Brooklyn-Queens Cross-Country Championship and in so doing qualified for the state cross-country championship.
Congratulations to the two nimble-footed athletes. Bishop Ford is located at 500 19th Street in the Windsor Terrace section of Brooklyn.
