Box-cutting bandit

The 14-year-old victim told cops he near Avenue Z on his way to the train at 7:50 am when the ruffian appeared and tried to snatch the youth’s phone. The low-life then punched him in the face and wielded an orange box-cutter, threatening: “Do you wanna die?”

Police say the victim was able to seek shelter in a nearby store, and the box-cutting buffoon vanished without a trace.

Ear lobe lashing

A scoundrel snatched a cellphone from a woman’s hand at 86th Street and W. Sixth Street on May 15, leaving her with a lacerated ear lobe, police said.

The victim told cops she was near W. Sixth Street on her way to work at 5:50 am when she heard someone creeping up behind her. She was talking on the phone when the pilfering punk pried it from her hand, cutting her ear in the process, according to a police report.

Police say the perp fled northbound on W. Sixth Street.

Coney Island crooks

A band of bandits punched and mugged a 23-year-old man on Coney Island Avenue on May 16.

The victim told police he was near Avenue U on the way home from the train station at midnight when he was approached by the malicious mob and punched in the face. One of the goons gripped the guy’s hands while two others nabbed his wallet and cellphone. The perps fled the scene, officials said.

Wheeled away

Pilfering punks pulled two motorized scooters and a bicycle from a 67-year-old man’s backyard shed at Crawford Avenue on May 15.

The elderly gent says the cretins came in through the driveway of his home near E. Seventh Street at 4:55 am and broke open the shed door, taking his three-wheeled contraptions before riding off into the sunset.
