Bad blood
A jerk in a hurry broke through a Manhattan Avenue apartment window and stole some cash on April 10.
The victim left his home, which is between Dupont and Eagle streets, at about noon, but when he returned at 2 pm, he found that his rear window was smashed in, and blood was all over the floor.
Closer inspection revealed that the thug had stolen $100 from the victim’s pillow and fled through the front door.
Stole the show
A quick-handed crook stole a musician’s guitar right out from under his nose on April 6.
The victim was unloading his equipment on Kingsland Avenue near Richardson Street before he stepped inside jam space at about 7 pm. When he returned minutes later, the guitar and amplifier were gone.
Stolen!
At least two vehicles were stolen in Greenpoint this week:
• Some jerk stole a parked car from Diamond Street near Driggs Avenue on April 5. The victim told cops it probably occurred between 9 and 10 pm.
• A thug stole that most-popular set of wheels — a 1999 Honda Civic — from Sutton Street near Meeker Street on April 7 between 6 and 8 pm.
