Two thieves wounded a Greenpoint jeweler with a bullet to his chest before robbing his Nassau Avenue store in broad daylight on Monday.

The two robbers shot Studio Jewelry’s owner Richard Sanocki, 54, at 12:48 pm inside his store before smashing a glass display case and collecting the jewels inside.

Police cordoned off the block between Lorimer Street and Manhattan Avenue for about half an hour as an ambulance took Sanocki to Bellevue Hospital, where remained in serious but stable condition. He has owned the store for nearly two decades.

Detectives are searching for two men spotted on surveillance video. The gunman is 35-45-years-old, about 5-foot-10 with a mustache. The accomplice had the same description, minus the stache.

Greenpoint has seen few armed robberies, let alone shootings, this year.

A perp robbed a McGuinness Boulevard gas station with a gun in January, stealing $900 from its register.

And a 30-year-old man was shot on Monitor Street near Nassau Avenue in January.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-8477.
