Unruly customer
An angry thug entered a late-night grocery on July 6 and took out his aggressions on the man he found behind the counter.
The 51-year-old employee was inside the store between Sterling and St. Johns places just after 10 pm when the unhinged customer stormed inside and began arguing with the clerk.
The man then struck the victim in the back of the head and ran off, taking nothing.
Graffiti speak
A graffiti vandal turned a blank wall on Eastern Parkway into his personal canvas on July 12, but didn’t have long to appreciate his own artwork.
Police said that the 39-year-old wall scrawler was taken into custody at 8 pm shortly after he was seen writing “Molh,” “Nichs” and “Nichtl & Jules” as well as two peace signs on a property between Plaza Street East and Underhill Avenue.
It was unclear just what the vandal was trying to convey with his trusty spray paint can, other than “please bust me.”
Plan B swipe
A sticky fingered thief made off with a woman’s handbag as she celebrated inside Plan B on Vanderbilt Avenue.
The woman told police she was inside the lounge between Prospect and Park places at 11 pm on July 5 when someone lifted her pocketbook from the back of her chair.
She did not report the theft until July 8 — after learning that someone not only used her credit cards, but her cellphone as well to make a few long distance calls.
Rolling away
A thief seized an opportunity and gershed an unsecured bike in front of a corner store on Carlton Avenue and Park Place on July 6.
The owner of the $300 two-wheeler said he pedaled to the store at 9:30 pm and went inside to buy something.
When he came out a few minutes later, his bike was gone.
