Educators are supposed to do the right thing for the right reason, but dollar-eyed dunces at PS 24 in Sunset Park missed the goal by a mile when they accepted a free soccer field from the United Arab Emirates, instead of telling the human rights hooligan — whom the 9-11 Commission found to be a cash source for the World Trade Center hijackers — to sod off until it:
• Stops practicing cruel shariah law.
• Stops opposing civil liberties.
• Stops imprisoning rape victims and gays under extramarital sex laws.
• Stops prosecuting activists as terrorists.
• Stops torturing people with electric shocks, sleep deprivation for up to 20 days, prying off fingernails, insect bombardments, sexual abuse, and dousing with ice water in front of a fan — among other atrocities.
Yet PS 24 oaf-icials didn’t think twice about whoring their souls to a civil rights boor whose sense of Islamic justice condemns young women to brutal floggings for a chance meeting with a male friend.
“We were very, very excited and appreciative!” said Principal Rose Dubitsky, who ironically unveiled a girl-power mural to celebrate the field’s opening. “The extent of my role here is to always watch out for the benefit of our students — we have a lot of needy students here — that’s it!”
Dubitsky’s cop-out to a thugdom masquerading as a humanitarian betrays civilization, and helps the filthy rich Emiratis buy favor and silence for their laundry list of crimes, including forcible disappearances, and the enslavement of migrant workers who make up most of United Arab Emirates’ population and create most of its wealth in squalid labor camps for a pittance.
It’s not okay to play ball with a tyrant, and PS 24 — greatly in need of a good citizenship lesson — should return the foul handout and fund its soccer green with clean money instead of the dark cash of a human rights hooligan.
