Blogger Robert Guskind died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, our CNG sister publication The Brooklyn Paper reported last week.
Guskind, who founded the popular blog Gowanus Lounge, died in March.The blog was a hodgepodge of real estate news, photo essays, and reflections on all things Brooklyn.
According to the report, the medical examiner found the painkiller hydrocodone, bupropion (used to help adults quit smoking), and the anti-anxiety drug diazepam in Guskind’s system.
Born in New Jersey, Guskind worked as a professional journalist in Washington, D.C. and New Jersey.
Most recently, he worked as the Brooklyn editor for the real estate blog Curbed.
