Bottle bash

PSP perps

A gang of hoodlums smashed a bottle over a 17-year-old’s head in a brutal March 16 mugging for a Playstation device.

The thugs attacked the teen as he played the mobile video game machine in front of his South Third Street home at around 9:30 pm, hitting him over the head with the bottle and punching him in the face.

The assault left the teen cut and bruised, and the thieves fled from the block, which is between Bedford and Driggs avenues, with the miniature video game console.

M bandits

Two outlaws tried to hold up a 14-year-old as he got off the M train at the Hewes Street station on March 20.

The crooks ambushed the teen as he neared the end of the platform at around 4:15 pm.

“What would you do for your phone?” one of the crooks asked.

Before the victim had a chance to respond, one of the muggers struck him with a blunt object.

The teen escaped from the station — which is at the corner of Broadway and Hewes Street — without forking over his phone. The would-be crooks also got away.

Bust ’burg burg

Cops nabbed a bumbling burglar whose attempted break-in was broken up her would-be victim on March 19.

The crook got into the Clymer Street apartment after midnight and was in the act of pilfering the apartment when the 45-year-old resident returned home at around 3:20 am.

When the thief encountered the resident, she dropped all of the victim’s valuables and dashed out of the apartment, which is between Bedford and Lee avenues.

But police canvassed the neighborhood and locked up a 41-year-old woman suspected of committing the crime.

Laptop lift

Computer users beware: North Brooklyn burglars are targeting laptop computers. Thieves heisted laptops from at least three Williamsburg homes this week. Here are the alarming details:

• An intruder heisted a laptop, leather computer case, and power cable from a Manhattan Avenue apartment on March 16.

The thief committed the act between 8 am and 9 pm — while the 44-year-old resident was at work — and snatched the goods from the apartment, which is between Ainslie and Powers streets.

• Burglars snatched two Apple laptops from a South Second Street apartment on March 20.

The thieves grabbed the computers as well as gold rings and a Canon camera between 6:30 and 11 pm and fled from the residence, which is between Havemeyer Street and Marcy Avenue.

• A crook climbed through a Maujer Street window to snatch two Dell laptops between March 16 and March 20.

The looter got away with the computers — as well as $50 — from the apartment, which is between Manhattan and Graham avenues.

Cell hell

Williamsburg muggers went after phones last week, sticking up at least two North Brooklynites. Here are the horrifying details:

• A group of punks armed with a gravity knife held up an 11-year-old for his cellphone on March 15. The thugs confronted the preteen as he walked down Broadway between Lorimer and Leonard streets at around 7 pm.

“Give me your Sidekick,” a crook wearing a Yankees cap demanded, referring to the popular T-Mobile phone.

The victim obliged and the thieves fled.

• Two perps shoved a 21-year-old on March 17 before snatching his phone.

The crooks struck near the corner of Debevoise and Humboldt Street as the victim walked home from his girlfriend’s apartment at around 7:50 pm, pushing their mark and yanking his cell from his jacket pocket.
