A driver crashed his white box truck into a 99-cent store on Utica Avenue on July 27, sending two people to the hospital, according to photographer Paul Martinka who was on the scene.

The driver may have suffered a seizure as he attempted to pull into a parking spot between Linden Boulevard and Church Avenue at about 11:30 am, according to the NY Daily News. He abruptly slammed his foot on the gas, ramming the four-wheeler into the storefront, and sending passerby and workers jumping out of the way.

Emergency responders transported a woman — who just missed the truck’s wrath before it smashed into the wall — along with the driver to Kings County Hospital, according to Martinka.

A wall of boxes luckily stopped the truck from plowing through the wall and into the store, so everything was quickly back up and running, said an employee at the T-Mobile store one door down.

“It was kind of very sudden, I really didn’t see why he crashed into the store. It wasn’t that bad, they just hit a couple of boxes down,” said Joshua Briggs on Aug. 3. “Everything is fine, the store is restored and everything.”
