Friday, Nov. 4

Free show at Freddy’s: Billing themselves as “New York City’s third-best industrial ska R&B disco garage rock cumbia crossover band,” Demonstrator is bringing lively, “genre-bending” music to Freddy’s Bar in preparation for the release of their upcoming EP.

Free. 9 p.m. at Freddy’s Bar, 627 Fifth Ave. between 17th and 18th streets in Park Slope.

Saturday, Nov. 5

Día de los Muertos for kids: Kids are invited to explore and enjoy the celebrations and traditions of Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum! Enjoy some Latin American food, art, music and dancing and make an offering at the ofrenda designed by local artist Mincho Vega.

$13. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 145 Brooklyn Ave. between St. Marks Avenue and Prospect Place in Crown Heights.

Green-Wood open studio: Green-Wood Cemetery’s artist-in-residence Rowan Renee invites Brooklynites to explore their beautiful studio space and catch a glimpse of the work they’re doing on their upcoming show “The Perimeter Path,” which won’t be debuted until next spring.

Free. Noon-5:30 p.m. at Green-Wood Cemetery, Fifth Avenue and 25th Street in Greenwood Heights.

Coney Island USA fall fundraiser: Join Coney Island USA for their annual fall fundraiser benefitting the Coney Island Museum, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year! Enjoy yummy food and an open bar with drinks from Coney Island Brewery and McCall’s Wines while Eliza Spear sings — and enjoy a performance by the Coney Island Circus Sideshow!

$125-$325. 7 p.m. at Coney Island USA, 1208 Surf Ave. between Stillwell Avenue and W. 12th Street in Coney Island.

Party like it’s 1999: This special event marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Shania Twain’s iconic album Come On Over. Dance and sing to Shania’s pop hits plus the best music of the 90s and 00s from DJ Steve Reynolds. RSVP in advance.

Sunday, Nov. 6

Green Day for Kids: It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right, we hope you have the time of your life sharing the music of Green Day with your little ones at this family-friendly dance party at Brooklyn Bowl.
