Brighton Beach woman stabbed to death in home

A 51-year-old Brighton Beach woman who was stabbed multiple time in the back died Thursday night shortly after cops arrived at the woman’s home.

Cops from the 60th Precinct say they found her unconscious and bleeding in her basement apartment on Brighton 12th Street at Brighton Beach Avenue at around 5 pm. She died a short time later.

Police did not release the victim’s name, and no arrests have been made.

Neighbors said they were rattled by the grisly slaying in a quiet portion of the 60th Precinct, where, overall, eight murders occurred by this point last year.

“Murders don’t happen very often in Brighton Beach,” said Bruni Figueroa.

But they do happen — so far this year, there have been six murders within the precinct’s borders, and the second in just over two months.

In October, 65-year-old woman was gunned-down in just before noon outside of Asser Levy Park.

Alla Kamenev was at the corner of W. Second Street and Sea Breeze Avenue at 11:50 pm on Oct. 20 when a man rolled by on a bicycle and opened fire. Kamenev was hit several times and died of her injuries at Coney Island Hospital.

Investigators arrested her ex-husband, 68-year-old Dimirty Kamenev, and charged him with the murder a week later.
