Finally, a bowling alley fit for a hipster!
After two years of construction, Brooklyn Bowl was poised to finally open this week — the first bowling alley that not only offers your favorite 10-pin action, but does so in a certified “green” building with live music, enough big-screen TVs to make a sports bar jealous and food by the people from Blue Ribbon.
But just because Brooklyn Bowl — the brainchild of Pete Shapiro, the green-minded entertainment honcho behind Wetlands in Manhattan — is trying to be everything to everybody doesn’t mean it won’t live up to its name, thanks to 16 lanes worthy of “The Dude.”
Michael Paritsky, owner of Blue Ribbon, told GO Brooklyn that his initial menu would be “comfort foods” like the restaurant’s famed fried chicken and ribs, but would eventually expand to a full slate of options.
Now that’s a strike.
