Cops are still looking for the man who assaulted a senior with a shopping cart in Brooklyn Heights at the end of last month.

According to police, the 76-year-old victim sustained head injuries after he was assaulted with the cart on Dec. 26.

The victim reported to police that he was walking by the intersection of Pierrepont Street and Monroe Place at around 6:30 p.m. when a man began arguing with him, allegedly calling him a “terrorist.”

The yet-to-be identified perp then struck the victim with the metal shopping cart he was pushing, causing the older man to fall and hit his head on the concrete. The perp struck the man again as he lay on the ground before fleeing the scene.

Further information about the victim was not released by police, and it remains unclear whether or not the perpetrator – if caught — will be charged with a hate crime.
