A violent jerk beat up a man and then stole his wallet on Third Street on Aug. 13.
The 45-year-old victim told cops he was near Eighth Avenue at 9:45 pm when a man wearing a blue shirt grabbed him by the throat and threw him to the ground. The creep then snatched the poor guy’s brown Coach wallet — containing only $5 — and ran away.
Putt nut
A thief stole some expensive golf gear from a car on Seventh Street on Aug. 14.
The 31-year-old victim told cops he parked his 2005 Ford Explorer near Third Avenue at 8:30 pm, then came back the next day at 6 pm and discovered his rear window was broken and a $2,000 golf bag, a camera, and a diaper bag were gone.
Bike bummer
A scoundrel swiped a sweet bicycle from a home on Fifth Street on Aug 16.
The 46-year-old victim told cops he spotted a stranger walk through the door of his home near Eighth Avenue at 1:25 am, then grab his $1,000 Guerciotti bike and flee.
Delivery downer
A crafty crook stole a car from a pizza delivery guy on 13th Street on Aug. 17.
The 33-year-old worker told cops he left his silver Honda Civic running with the keys in the ignition while he delivered a pizza near Fifth Avenue. He came back a few minutes later and discovered the $1,000 ride gone.
Nightlife no-no
A jerk jacked a purse from a bar-goer on Fifth Avenue on Aug. 14.
The 25-year-old victim told cops she hung her bag on the back of a chair at Bar Reis near Sixth Street at 1:40 am, then looked away for 20 minutes and discovered her bag — full of credit cards and an iPhone — missing.
Butler hustler
Cops arrested a man who they say snatched a fancy cellphone from a woman on Fourth Avenue on Aug. 15.
The 23-year-old victim was near Butler Street at 8:30 am when a man grabbed an iPhone from her hand and rode away on a bike, according to police.
Cops arrested a 27-year-old suspect the same day.
Dirty deed
A perp stole a diaper bag from a home on Garfield Place on Aug. 15, according to police.
The 39-year-old victim told cops a man rang the door to her apartment building near Sixth Avenue at around 12:20 pm, then walked in and grabbed a diaper bag, baby wipes, and a cart for shopping.
Cops arrested a 46-year-old man the same day.
Apple gone
A thief swiped a laptop from an apartment on St. Marks Place on Aug. 16.
The 31-year-old victim told cops he left his home near Third Avenue at 2 am, then came back at 10 pm and discovered someone climbed onto his fire escape and through his window and left with his MacBook Pro.
Neighbors told cops they saw nothing.
