Bensonhurst—Bath Beach
A bad dream
A bruiser busted into a sleeping man’s Bath Avenue apartment on Nov. 12 and pilfered the contents of victim’s pockets, said police.
The tough kicked in the front door to the apartment between Bay 16th and Bay 17th streets at 10 pm, officials said. The victim told police that the baddie then marched up the stairs, kicked in his bedroom door, and stated, “Don’t move, hands up, and give me your money.”
The brute didn’t brandish any weapons but proceeded to search the man’s pockets until he discovered $200 in cash and fled the apartment the way he entered, police said.
Date night gone wrong
Police arrested two con artists who they say set up a fake date with a man and then robbed him on Shore Parkway on Nov. 8, said police.
The man told police that he met a woman on the internet who invited him to a hotel near 24th Avenue for sex. But when the man entered the hotel room with the woman at 4:20 pm, a man came out of the bathroom and threatened him with a glass bottle, officials said.
The pair proceeded to search the man’s pockets and made off with $100, said police.
Hit and run
A tough plowed his car into a man at the intersection of 23rd Avenue and 83rd Street on Nov. 13, said police.
The man told police that he was crossing the street at 8:20 pm when he was struck by a Nissan Altima, hurting his right leg. The two men got into a verbal dispute and the driver flashed a police badge before fleeing the scene in his car, said police.
The victim refused medical attention, officials said.
Bicycle baddie
A ruffian smashed a man over the head with a glass bottle on 20th Avenue on Nov. 13, said police
The baddie approached the 59-year-old man on a bicycle between 83rd and 84th streets at 11 pm and struck him with the bottle, causing a deep cut on his head. The brute fled on his bike in an unknown direction, officials said.
Emergency responders took the man to Lutheran Hospital, police said.
