Popping off shots
A thug walked into a Coney Island business on Dec. 5 and fired two shots into the ceiling of the Mermaid Avenue address.
Stunned witnesses told police that the unidentified Hispanic male entered the business, which is between W. 30th and W. 31st streets, at 8:48 pm. Several people were shaken by the gunfire, but no one was hurt, police were told.
72-year-old robbed
A hooligan jumped a 72-year-old man inside a W. 33rd Street apartment building on Dec. 6, taking his property.
The victim as robbed after the thief followed him into the elevator of the building, which is between Surf Avenue and the Boardwalk, at 2:30 pm.
Belt buckle bonanza
Two goons were arrested on Dec. 5 following a belt buckle whipping-fest on Brighton Beach Avenue catering hall.
Officials said the suspects, age 20 and 18, were with at least three other men inside the hall, which is between Brighton 11th and 12th streets, when they began arguing with one man. That’s when the crew pulled off their belts and began whipping the man, leaving him with a smattering of injuries to his face, neck and legs.
Cops rounded up the two suspects a short time later, charging them with assault.
Hip hobble
A knife-wielding assailant stabbed another man in the hip with a knife on Dec. 5 during a confrontation on Bay Seventh Street in Bath Beach.
Police said that the two men were inside an apartment, which is between Benson and Bath avenues, at 9:15 pm when the 43-year-old suspect grabbed a knife and lunged, leaving his victim with a deep laceration.
Pistol-whipping arrest
Cops have arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with a brutal pistol-whipping on a 75-year-old back in August.
Officials said two burglars forced their way into a Gravesend Neck Road apartment near E. Eighth Street at 10:15 pm on Aug. 21, surprising the woman inside.
They beat and bound the woman as they pried open a safe inside the home with a knife, and took more than $100,000 in cash and jewels.
A fingerprint taken at the scene directed police to a 38-year-old suspect, who was arrested on Dec. 2.
Shot down
A gunman opened fire outside the Marlboro Houses on Nov. 27, striking two men with whom he was arguing.
The victims told police that the violent clash took place at the corner of Avenue V and 86th Street shortly after midnight. Both men were shot in the legs and sought medical assistance at a nearby hospital, police were told.
Road rage renegade
A thug opened fire on two complete strangers on Nov. 25 during a bizarre road rage incident on Shore Parkway.
The victims were rolling through Sheepshead Bay at 4:30 am when a black jeep rear-ended them.
Outraged, they began pursuing the jeep to Shore Parkway between E. 13th Street and Homecrest Avenue, where the offending motorist met up with a friend in an SUV.
That’s when the SUV driver — at his friend’s behest — pulled a gun and opened fire, striking one of the two men in the abdomen. The second man was struck in the elbow.
The victims raced away to seek medical attention. The gunman and his cohort were still at large.
Mole men
Thieves tunneled their way into an Ocean Parkway home on Nov. 26, taking an assortment of jewelry.
The homeowner between Avenue Y and Parkway Court said the thieves entered the building through a basement apartment, then smashed a hole in the wall to get to the rest of the house.
