Burglar makes big haul
A cat burglar stole $20,000 and jewelry from a 15th Avenue home on Aug. 14.
The perp climbed into the home between 89th and 90th streets in Bath Beach through a second-floor bathroom window at 7 am and made off with the loot, police said.
Hit for hat
A brute with anger issues socked a guy on Bay Parkway and 83rd Street in Bath Beach and stole his baseball hat and jewelry on Aug. 16.
The victim was walking down the street at 4 pm when his assailant punched him in the face and stole his duds, leaving the poor guy with a sprained wrist and scratches on his face, police said.
Bullet to the belly
A man caught a stray bullet in his stomach in a park at the corner of Cropsey Avenue and Bay 28th Street in Bath Beach on Aug. 16.
The man was hanging out in the park at 4:26 pm when gunfire supposedly erupted, police said. He was taken to Lutheran Hospital where doctors found what appeared to be a bullet fragment in his abdomen, but no gun or shell casings were found at the scene, reports state.
They’ve got her number
A fare-beater who tried to run out on her $47 cab ride stole her driver’s phone when he tried to call the cops on her on 81st Street on Aug.16.
The woman took a yellow cab from Manhattan to Bensonhurst at 4:05 am, but when it reached her destination between Bay Parkway and 23rd Street, she told the cabbie she didn’t have his cash, police said.
The chagrinned chauffeur tried to call 911, but the woman stole his phone — accidentally leaving her own behind in the cab, police said.
