Heavy sleeper
A tip-toeing crook swiped a video game system from a sleeping woman on 10th Street on Sept. 17.
The 27-year-old victim told cops she went to bed in her apartment near Third Avenue at midnight, then woke up seven hours later and discovered her window open — and the front door propped open with a brick. That’s when she noticed her 47-inch TV and Nintendo Wii gone.
Stabbed on Second
Cops say a violent creep beat up a man on Second Avenue on Sept. 23.
The 37-year-old victim told police a thug sliced his arms, torso and back with a knife near 13th Street at 4 am, then fled. Cops arrested a 26-year-old suspect the same day.
Van scam
A crook stole a van on Second Avenue on Sept. 22.
The 29-year-old victim told cops he parked and locked his red Ford van near Seventh Street at 3 am, then came back at noon and discovered it gone — with no sign of broken glass.
Air heads
Clumsy thieves tried to break into an apartment on Second Street on Sept. 17 — but got scared off when the tenant screamed.
The 29-year-old victim told cops she was typing on her computer inside her home near Fifth Avenue at 2 pm when she heard a group of people attempt to remove her air conditioning unit. She screamed and the perps fled — making off with nothing.
Gold gone
A crook swiped some gold jewelry and cash from an apartment on 15th Street on Sept. 17.
The 26-year-old victim told cops he left his home near Fourth Avenue at 9 am, then came back 10 hours later and discovered his gold chain necklace, gold ring, and $300 missing from his living room.
Hyundai heist
A jerk stole a car on Sixth Avenue on Sept. 21.
The 65-year-old victim told cops she parked her black 2008 Hyundai in front of PS 282 near Berkeley Place at 12:30 am, then came back at 8 pm and found the trusty ride gone — with no sign of broken glass.
Nissan nabbed
A thief jacked a car parked on President Street sometime between Sept. 17 and Sept 21.
The 73-year-old victim told cops she parked her gray 1989 at Nissan near Third Avenue at 2:45 pm, then came back four days later and discovered it missing.
