Burglars attack!

Jewel thief

Someone broke into a 10th Street apartment on May 18, taking lots of jewelry and cash.

The crook smashed through the front door sometime between 11 am and 3:40 pm. When the resident returned to his apartment, which is between Fourth and Fifth avenues, he discovered that two watches and some jewelry, plus $1,600, were missing.

Fire escape felon

A robber stole more than $3,000 in hi-fi equipment after climbing up a fire escape and through the open window of an Eighth Street apartment on May 18.

The owner told cops that she had left her apartment, located between Eighth and Ninth avenues, at 9 am. When she returned at 6 pm, she noticed her laptop, two cameras, and several video games were missing.

Now he does

Someone entered an Eighth Avenue apartment overnight on May 21, and got electronics and jewelry.

Cops say the thief smashed the rear kitchen window and climbed inside the apartment, which is at 12th Street between 9 am and 6 pm. Once inside, he locked the front dead bolt, possibly to prevent any unwanted interruption as he went about his nefarious business.

The crook got an iPod, two laptops, a camera, jewelry, and a bracelet that bore the ironic inscription, “Ain’t got nothin’.”
