Grisly video shows the very moment that a school-bus driver hit a woman crossing Avenue M on Jan. 13, police said.
The driver of the Y and M Transit Corp. short bus plowed into the pedestrian near Nostrand Avenue at about 1:30 pm. She goes down and then rolls under the bus’s front wheel for several feet before the driver hits the brakes, security video shows.
The victim was crossing in the crosswalk, video shows. But police could not confirm whether she had the right of way.
The driver stayed at the scene when police arrived, and emergency responders took the victim to Kings County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, a police spokesman said.
Police did not arrest the driver and did not issue any summonses, according to cops, who said the driver appeared sober.
There have been 39 crash-related injuries at the intersection of Avenue M and Nostrand Avenue since 2009, city records show.
