Police apprehended two of three thieves who allegedly tried to hold up a cab driver during a trip to the corner of Fulton and Jay streets last week.
Police said that the cabbie was escorting the three suspects through the neighborhood when one of the men allegedly pulled a gun and pointed it at the man’s head as they waited at a light at State and Bond streets.
The cab driver turned the tables on the thieves by abandoning his car.
The thieves also exited the car, jumping into a livery van that had been following the cab, officials said.
Responding officers caught up with two of the suspects, identified as a 19-year-old Bonhomme Ritchy and a 20-year-old Evens Alphonse a short time later.
Ritchy was charged with attempted robbery, menacing and harassment.
Alphonse, police said, was charged with possession of pistol ammunition when six bullets — believed to belong to the gun Ritchy allegedly flashed, was in the getaway car — a Ford Ecoline van.
A 45-year-old thief is looking for another line of work — or at least another hunting ground — after being arrested three times for allegedly filching items from the Fulton Street Macy’s.
Police said that Ralph Wilson’s last failed attempt took place at 11 a.m. on September 24, when he was allegedly caught grabbing two bottles of Calvin Klein perfume and putting them in his pocket.
Security guards caught him before he could leave and held him for police.
Knowing the drill, Wilson apparently said nothing as he was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
Prosecutors said that Wilson had been apprehended at Macy’s two other times in the last year.
A quick-moving thief ran off with a 19-year-old’s iPhone as she sipped a soothing beverage at the Court Street Starbucks near Joralemon Street.
The young woman was reportedly on the phone when the thief grabbed it and ran off.
He didn’t get far, however.
Cops apprehended the thief, who was not named, a short time later and charged him with grand larceny.
Police are looking for the gunman who ended the life of a 28-year-old walking through Wyckoff Gardens.
Victor Zapata was reportedly shot multiple times in the chest and head during a confrontation on Wyckoff Street near Nevins Street at 1:15 a.m. on September 27.
He was rushed to Long Island College Hospital where he died of his injuries.
Cops are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.

Thieves pilfered two cars on Sackett Street on the same night, officials said.
Officials said that someone stole the tires and rims off of a 2005 Nissan Maxima parked near Fourth Avenue sometime after 12:30 a.m. on September 22.
At roughly the same time, a 2006 GM parked just a few addresses down was broken into. a $2500 navigation system and CD radio was removed, officials said.
Cops were determining if the two break-ins were related as this paper went to press.
Cops are continuing their search for the anti-Semitic, anti-black, anti-gay, anti-Muslim thieves who broke into the First Unitarian Church on Monroe Place.
Police were told that someone broke into a back office in the house of worship near Clark Street sometime between 5 p.m. on September 13 and 7 a.m. the following morning, taking $464 in church donations as well as thousands of dollars in speakers, amplifiers and band equipment.
But before leaving, the thieves made their presence known by scrawling “No Ni—ers, Gay, Arab %u2013 White Power” as well as a swastika on the wall.
“We will be back,” the thieves also added in their menacing missive.
Area cops and members of the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.

A 15-year-old boy was robbed of his wallet at knife point during a confrontation at State Street and Sidney Place last week.
The victim, a resident of Willow Place, told police that he was walking along State Street at 4 p.m. on September 15 when a 5’11” black male around 19 years old walked up to him and asked him for the time.
When the victim said he didn’t have the time, the thief pulled a wood-handled knife from his pocket and ordered him to hand over his wallet.
No injuries were reported as the thief ran off with the wallet, which contained $5.
A quick-moving thief is being sought for snagging a bag from a 29-year-old woman as she waited to cross the corner of Hoyt and Fulton Streets.
The victim said that she was standing at the corner at 1:25 p.m. September 19 when the thief ran by, snatching the plastic bag out of her hands.
The woman’s Apple iTouch was in the bag when it was taken, officials said.
