Cell hell
Three suspects stole $2,000 in cellphones from an 86th Street electronics store on July 12.
Two men and a woman entered the business, between Fourth and Fifth avenues, at around 2:30 pm, cops said. The three suspects disabled the alarms attached to six different phones before calmly walking out the front door.
Electroheist
Someone broke into a 68th Street house on July 13 and stole electronics.
The 34-year-owner of the home, which is between Fourth and Fifth avenues, told police that she left at around 7 pm.
When she returned just after midnight, she noticed that one of the side windows had been forced open, and more than $1,400 worth of gadgets was gone.
Cycle madness
At least two motorcycles were stolen from neighborhood streets in separate incidents this week.
In the first case, someone nabbed a chopper from 86th Street on July 9. The 23-year-old owner said he parked the bike between First and Second avenues at around 8 pm. When he returned less than 24 hours later, the vehicle was missing.
Then, on July 10, two suspects stole a motorbike from a Shore Road garage. The 64-year-old victim told cops that he’d parked his $6,500 motorcycle in his garage just before 4 pm. When he went to check on it three days later, it was gone from the spot near 72nd Street.
