Caper foiled

Police arrested two young men on Jan. 20 as the perps tried to steal copper pipes from a construction site.

A security guard at the Lynch Street site, which is between Bedford Avenue and Wallabout Street, called cops when the 17-and 20-year-old suspects broke in at about 8:30 pm.

Cops say they caught the thieves red-handed as they were dismantling the plumbing.

Laptop lobber

Williamsburg police are hunting a robber who used his booty as a weapon to threaten his victim on Jan. 17.

Cops report that a man walked into an office building on North First Street between Kent and Wythe avenues at about 5:30 pm, grabbed a laptop and threatened to hit a woman with it.

The victim told police the man snatched the Macintosh, raised it high and threatened to bash her over the head with it. The robber then walked out of the office — laptop in hand — hopped on a blue bicycle and rode south on Kent Avenue, cops say.

Swastika’d

Police are looking for a teenager who drew a swastika on the wall of a Jewish school on Keap Street on Jan. 10.

A neighbor called the cops at about 5:30 pm to say he saw a young man drawing the Nazi hate symbol on the wall of Lia Bi Racheal School between Marcy and Division avenues.

The police took Polaroids of the symbol, but haven’t made any arrests.
