Community Board 10 will be conducting a public hearing to review and ranks the board’s capital and expense priorities for the Fiscal Year 2010 municipal budget at 7:15 p.m., October 20 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1305 86th Street.
The capital priorities developed by the board reflect the long range planning goals for brining needed physical improvements into the district, which impact on the restoration of parks, sewers, roads, bridges and other municipal properties.
The expense budget priorities cover the operational needs of the municipal agencies, which provide direct services to the district as they relate to police, fire, environmental, parks and transportation services.
“The assessment of the needs of our district and the community board’s participation in the budget process enables our members and the community to request capital and expense improvements into the district annually,” stated CB 10 Chairperson Dean Rasinya.
The board invites the public to participate in the budget process and welcomes suggestions. Copies of the Fiscal Year 2009 priority lists are available at the board’s District Service Office, 621 86th Street.
