Celebrity softball game

Two teams of New York celebrities will step up to the plate to help raise awareness about autism and funds for autism research during the Third Annual Autism Speaks Celebrity Softball Game at 12:30 p.m., July 27 at Coney Island’s Key Span Park, 1904 Surf Avenue.

Stars who will go to bat for autism research and funding include Dave Marciano from “The Shield,” Skeery Jones from Z100, Jason Cameron from the DIY network, Evan Farmer, formerly of TLC’s “While You Were Out,” Caitlin VanZandt from “Guiding Light,” Jon Prescott from “As The World Turns,” and Josh Barrett and Michael Kelly of HBO’s new mini series “Generation Kill.”

Tickets for the Autism Speaks Celebrity Softball Game can be purchased at the Brooklyn Cyclones box office or online at www.brooklyncyclones.com.

All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Autism Speaks, the nation’s leading autism advocacy organization.
