The Jewish Community Council of Kings Bay, HIAS−LOREO, Kings Bay YM−YWHA and United States Census 2010 invite the community to the Census 2010 Awareness Day, July 31 from 9:30−10:45 a.m. at the Kings Bay Y, 3495 Nostrand Avenue between Avenues U and V.
The event is aimed at Russian speaking seniors, to teach them about the importance of the United States Census 2010.
Participants will learn about the ease and importance of the US 2010 Census, meet community leaders, participate in a voter registration drive, obtain information about the elections and receive various publications.
Elected officials are scheduled to address the crowd between 10−10:30 am. The event will be held in Russian.
