Boot scoot
A con man stole $200 from his former jail buddy after he tricked him with the promise of cheap shoes on Fleet Place on Dec. 4.
The victim told cops he was going to a store near Willoughby Street to buy some new kicks at 5:37 pm when he met a guy he spent time behind bars with. The charlatan said he could get him the footwear cheaper through some other pals, a report said.
But before the victim could score the new shoes, the snake snatched the money out of his hand and pushed him down as he got into a van and fled, police said.
Shot
A villain shot a man as he was walking home on Lefferts Place on Dec. 4.
The 20-year-old victim was travelling from his girlfriend’s apartment to his abode near Classon Avenue at 5:20 am when he saw two guys having an argument, one of whom looked at the victim and hissed, “Oh, you think you’re a gangster,” according to a police report.
The victim kept walking but he heard several gunshots from behind him, and a bullet then hit him and he fell to the ground, saying he couldn’t feel his legs, police said. He was taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment, authorities said.
Bad trip
Three clods accidentally fired shots inside a Lafayette Avenue building during a robbery gone wrong on Nov. 29.
The galoots entered the structure near Classon Avenue at 5:15 pm and one flashed the firearm and searched one of the victim’s pockets and demanded money. At the same time, the second cretin tried to get cash out of another victim’s pocket while the third stood watch, police said.
But as the gun-toting tried to drag his victim to the rear of the building, he tripped and set off a round of shots. The three flummoxed lummoxes then ran away, according to a report.
Stick up
A lawbreaker robbed a woman at gunpoint on Navy Walk on Nov. 28.
The reprobate pointed the weapon at the victim inside the residence near Fleet Walk at 6:30 am and snatched cash and a phone from her pocket, according to a report.
Pushed
Two ruffians tried to rob a woman by pushing her up against a wall on Willoughby Street on Nov. 28.
The 54-year-old victim told cops she was strolling near St. Edwards Street at 11:30 am when the pair grabbed her bag from behind and tried to take it while simultaneously pinning her up against a wall, but the duo emerged empty-handed and ran off.
