Cheering for CPR training

Bay Ridge

Saving lives

Hats off to Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R–Bay Ridge) for teaming up with Maimonides Medical Center to host “Friends and Family CPR.

The free program teaches the basics of CPR, training, and learning skills that can save a life of a friend, neighbor or loved one.

“Knowing what to do when someone is choking, having a heart attack or goes into cardiac arrest can be the difference between life and death,” said Malliotakis. “If the skills learned during this event save one life, it was well worth it.”

The Bay Ridge representative thanked Maimonides for offering the training service to Brooklynites, and Salam Arabic Lutheran Church for hosting the event.

“CPR saves lives, it’s that simple,” said Dr. John Marshall, chairman of Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center. “We’re delighted to partner with Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis in providing this essential training.”

Standing O salutes the training, too.
