Child care worker needs help

School jerk

A child-care worker inside a Baltic Street public school stole a computer out of an upstairs room on May 17, police said.

Cops said that the 46-year-old broke into the classroom at PS 36, which is between Smith and Court streets, and stole an Apple computer.

But all the while, his actions were being recorded by a surveillance camera.

Shortly before noon, Officer Mike Civil made the arrest.

Drawn to it

Cops picked up two graffiti artists for illegal painting on Clinton Street on May 21.

Officer Christian Rodriguez said he saw a 14- and a 15-year-old teen defiling the building at Carroll Street at about 4:15 pm and slapped on the cuffs.

One of the graffiti villains was using the tag “GK,” but for the record, this reporter was not the vandal.

Both were charged with criminal mischief.

Fingered

A 23-year-old was shot inside the Gowanus Houses on Baltic Street on May 22 — but cops have very little to go on because the victim isn’t being cooperative, a police source said.

The victim did tell cops that he was in front of a building between Hoyt and Bond streets at around 3 am when a gunman came up and fired two times, hitting him in the finger and thigh.

The victim refused to provide any info beyond that, the source said.

Toyota gone

A thief swiped a 10-year-old Toyota from Henry Street overnight on May 17.

The owner told police that he had parked the gray sedan between Degraw and Kane streets at around 8 pm, but the car was gone by 5 am the next day.

Ring fling

A thief built like a bowling ball mugged a woman for cash and her diamond ring in the lobby of her Columbia Street building on May 18.

The victim told cops that as she entered the lobby of the building near W. Ninth Street at around 7:55 am, a bald, 5-foot-8, 180-pound man with brown, almond-shaped eyes pulled a gun on her and demanded the money and jewelry.

He got $500 and the gold ring and fled.

Hungry hoods

Two thugs stole a deliveryman’s food on May 20.

The victim told cops that he was making a delivery on Douglass Street at around 1:45 am when two men took his food, threatened him with bats, and said, “If you don’t leave, we’ll beat you.”

The 39-year-old did as he was told.

Baby killer

A 14-year-old was arrested for cutting a 15-year-old with a knife on Van Brunt Street on May 22.

Cops have little information about the incident, which took place at 5:25, but the thuggish teen was arrested soon after at the corner of Richards and Pioneer streets.

Kane do

A thief stole a laptop from a Kane Street apartment on May 22.

The resident of the unit, which is between Clinton Street and Thompkins Place, told cops that he was not home from 3-9 pm, when he returned to find his front door ripped open and his Apple computer missing.

Cracked up

A druggie broke into a car in plain view of cops and was arrested for stealing the navigation system on May 19.

Cops said that the perp broke into the car near the corner of Warren and Hoyt streets at around 2:20 am.
