Budding Walt Whitmans were lauded for their award-winning odes during a poetry celebration at Borough Hall.
Borough President Marty Markowitz honored approximately 50 local students for their nationally-recognized poetic works, which will be published in this year’s “Anthology of Poetry.”
The Anthology of Poetry, Inc., strives to nurture the beauty, self-expression and fun of poetry in young writers, in addition to fostering the development of creative expression in student writers through short story writing.
