In partnership with the South West Brooklyn Parks Task Force, State Senator Marty Golden hosted a Christmas tree lighting in McKinley Park in preparation for the upcoming Christmas season.
As the St. Anselm’s Choir sang carols, which brought out the holiday spirit in all, attendees sipped hot chocolate, and Santa Claus handed out candy canes to all the children, who then told him what they wanted for Christmas. Additionally, donations for Senator Golden’s toy drive were collected at the event.
McKinley Park is bounded by Fort Hamilton Parkway, 73rd to 78th streets, and Seventh Avenue.
