Now, even couch potatoes don’t have an excuse.

Just in time for the summer, the health-smart are a mouse click away from finding the skinny on fitness and recreational opportunities in the Big Apple.

Retired major league baseball player and Brooklyn boy Willie Randolph, and New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck, joined Sports Commissioner Ken Podziba and other municipal dignitaries at the Prospect Park Tennis Center to help launch the Parks Department’s new recreation search engine, BeFitNYC with a community celebration, featuring a performance by students from Public School 249 in Flatbush.

New Yorkers can now indulge their whim by logging onto www.nyc.gov/parks/befitnyc and then modifying their search by age group, zip code, borough, or sport or activity.
