Sporting challenges, family frolics and more fanned the flame of friendship as residents gathered for block party festivities in Carroll Gardens.

Clinton Street, between Kane and DeGraw streets, morphed into a boulevard of fun, brimming with special attractions and amusements for mom, dad and the kids.

While grown-ups caught up on news in the nabe, carefree kids romped on the cordoned-off block.

A communal barbecue topped off the street spectacle.
