Clones lineup comes alive!

Cyclones 7
Staten Island Yankees 2

The Cyclones lineup came alive on Wednesday night, carrying the minor-league team to its third-straight victory over the hated Staten Island Yankees on the Rock.

A Eudy Pina home run with two men on gave the scrappy squad a two-run lead at the top of the fourth. The rally continued in the sixth when a Julio Concepcion double loaded the bases before all three runners scored on a sac fly, a ground out, and a Brandon Nimmo double.

The Yanks were only able to muster two runs all night as Cyclones hurlers struck out nine, leaving the Baby Bombers stuck at home.

The Cyclones are currently in first place in the New York-Penn League.

The Cyclones are home again at MCU Park [1904 Surf Ave. at W. 17th Street in Coney Island, (718) 4498497, www.brooklyncyclones.com] tonight at 7 pm as they close out their four game series against the reviled Staten Island Yankees.
