Clones playoff game postponed

Cyclones pitcher Hansel Robles got off to a good start, holding Jamestown to just one run in six innings — but the bullpen couldn't back him up.

Sept. 8 at Dutchess Stadium

The NY-Penn League cancelled the Clones’ second day of post-season play on Saturday as a severe thunderstorm ripped through Dutchess County, which was under a tornado watch until 9 pm.

The Cyclones, who shutout the Hudson Valley Renegades on Friday at MCU Park, will square off against the pride of Wappingers Falls at Dutchess Stadium this evening. If necessary, the last match of the three-game series will be played in Dutchess County on Sept. 10.

The series winner will face the victor of the playoff clash between the Tri-City Valley Cats and the Auburn Doubledays.
